Hey Honeys! Today I'm reviewing a relatively new cosmetics line called Twenty2Cosmetics. I was contacted a few months ago by this company to review a couple of samples of their lipsticks. Due to being on holiday, I haven't had the chance to test them out until recently. However, let me tell you - it was worth the wait!
Twenty2Cosmetics are a company who emphasise the importance of the inner strength and intelligence that make up a woman, and they explain on their website that 'her character is the foundation of her beauty. Everything else adds to the essence of who she is'. I really love the positive message that this brand gives to women, that beauty is only skin deep. Their lipstick packaging reinforces this. As well as the beautiful gold colour and engraved patterns, there is a message on the inside of each tube: 'Who I am is not found in the opinion of others.' I think it's a really special touch, as sometimes we need to remind ourselves of this. I was sent the lipstick shades 422 and 322 which are both beautiful deep colours. They have a matte formula which glides on, and the pigmentation is intense. These lipsticks are not for the faint-hearted!
The shade 422 is a bright, blue-toned purple. Unfortunately, due to the long distance these lipsticks travelled, this one was broken when it arrived. It was nothing that a flame and fridge couldn't fix, though! I personally love the way that this shade looks with my skin tone, it makes a statement and will be gorgeous come Autumn. 322 is a berry-toned red, which is a beautiful dark shade against my pale skin. It is my favourite of the two, as it is more natural for a day-to-day basis. If you prefer more neutral, nude lipsticks rather than bold ones, they do have a couple of other lighter shades that you can check out.

I found the formula to be long lasting on my lips, without being uncomfortable. When first applied, the lipstick is more of a satin finish, but as the day goes on it dries down towards a matte. I have very dry lips with a lot of creases and texture, yet these lipsticks did not emphasise this at all. They were very flattering whilst hydrating the skin at the same time. The lightweight texture almost felt like a balm on my lips. They have a lovely sweet scent to them as well!

This is the lipstick after a few hours. Excuse the close proximity to my lips, but I wanted to capture the light feathering that occurred throughout day. I would recommend wearing these lipsticks with a lipliner to prevent this from happening!
The shape of the lipstick makes for easy application, and when I used a clean lip brush to smooth out any rough edges on my lip line it didn't change the pigmentation or texture. When I removed the swatches from both my lips and arm they left a stain, which is a good sign for the longevity!
Overall, I'm really enjoying these lipsticks. I would definitely recommend them for the low price of $15 each (roughly £11). It's always a good idea to try out smaller independent brands, after all, you never know how much they will grow with support...
